65TH, 70TH & 75TH ANNIVERSARIES

We've come to the end of our anniversary celebration--fittingly at the beginning. This is where Saturday mornings began; although it'd be a while before becoming what most of us remember. This is the Golden Age: the shows turning 65, 70 and 75 this year.

Turning 65, the new shows of 1961: Magic Ranch, On Your Mark, Pip the Piper, Update, Video Village Jr.

Turning 70, the new shows of 1956: Choose Up Sides, Circus Time, Cowboy Theater, The Gumby Show, Uncle Johnny Coons.

Turning 75, the new shows of 1951: A Date With Judy, The Adventures of Kit Carson, Betty Crocker Star Matinee, City Hospital, Faith Baldwin Romance Theatre, Grand Chance Ranch, Hal in Hollywood, Happy's Party, Kids & Company, Midwestern Hayride, Oh Kay!, Personal Appearance Theater, Rootie Kazootie, Scouting in America, Two Girls Named Smith, Watch Mr. Wizard, Whistling Wizard.

SMF ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION (PART 10)

Welcome to the golden portion of our 2nd anniversary celebration!

As we celebrate, we figured we'd also take the opportunity to celebrate the various other programs enjoying anniversaries this year (at least at an interval of 5). Some we've covered, some we'll get to covering sooner or later, but all of them represent Saturday morning. For this installment, we recognize those shows turning 55. That's right, the grandparent of Saturday morning television. If our tribute looks a little sparse, that's because in the earliest days of Saturday television networks tended to fill their line-ups with reruns of weekday shows. It wouldn't be until the latter part of the 1960s original programming would become king.

Take a walk down memory lane with us, and feel free to share your memories in the comments, or over on our Facebook group or Facebook page. We'd love to hear from you!

Now, without further ado, join us in celebrating...

NOTE: Not all intros available at this time.
