An actor, writer and director, Nimoy was perhaps best known for his signature role of science officer Spock from the original Star Trek series and related movies; a character which he helped shape. Nimoy would go on to portray the character for his one and only Saturday morning credit on the spin-off Star Trek: The Animated Series.
