GARRY MARSHALL DEAD AT 81
Actor, writer, director and producer Garry Marshall died on Tuesday. You can read the full story here.
Marshall created the 1950s nostalgia show Happy Days, which led to the spin-offs Laverne & Shirley and Mork & Mindy. Each show would go on to receive an animated spin-off on Saturday mornings: The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang, Laverne & Shirley in the Army, and Mork & Mindy.

ROBIN WILLIAMS DEAD AT 63
Renowned funnyman Robin Williams was found dead on August 11th of apparent suicide.
Although well-known for his various movies and manic comedic delivery, for Saturdays he provided the voice of one of his TV characters, the alien Mork, on the Mork & Mindy/Laverne & Shirley/Fonz Hour and was the originator of the role of the Genie in Disney's Aladdin franchise.
