Friends Forever focuses on the pairing of two particular ponies in the Friendship is Magic universe. This issue in particular stars Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon: two spoiled rich ponies who often tease the Cutie Mark Crusaders for not having yet received their cutie marks. This issue focuses on a riddle-based scavenger hunt for the fillies around Ponyville that the Crusaders are sure they're going to win though the power of friendship. Determined to show them up, Tiara has her father, Filthy Rich, hire a third member for her team: Prancy Drew, a renowned young detective and mystery author.

GRADE: A. A lot of fun in this issue. We get a new character in Prancy Drew, who is named after fictional detective Nancy Drew and looks an awful lot like Velma from the Scooby-Doo franchise. Jeremy Whitley does an excellent job of showing how spoiled Tiara and Soon are, and the ultimate price of cheating to get ahead. He also has a good grasp on the Crusaders, making a joke of how their pratfalls usually end up leading things to falling their way. The artwork by Jenn Blake generated its own share of laughs, particularly with the little cameos from other DHX Media property Littlest Pet Shop and IDW property Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. As always, Heather Breckel's colors wonderfully light the magical and friendly world of the ponies...even if two of them are being little brats.

This issue came with two covers, seen below. What did you think of the issue? Let us know in the comments or on our Facebook page by clicking the link at the top of the right-hand menu.
